I have graduated with a BSc in English Philology, where I have specialised in teaching English as a Foreign Language. I started my teaching career in Poland, at a middle school, where I predominantly taught English language, but also history and literature, where I was able to develop my knowledge of the changes in language over time.
I took a career break, where I gained a qualification as a pharmaceutical dispenser and then worked within the pharmaceutical industry. This helped me, as I developed my understanding of the importance of health and wellness in society.
However, I missed teaching, and after a few years, began working as a secondary school teacher, working within the English department as a GCSE English Language and English Literature teacher. I was also the head of their English as an Additional Language (EAL) department, overseeing the tutoring of 20 students receiving additional lessons in English.
I also have experience in tutoring online. During the pandemic, I began extracurricular tuition for students at my school, however, this very quickly expanded into becoming an online tutor. I work with students of all ages, either teaching English as a foreign language or preparing them for their GCSE, A-Level or SAT exams.
I am a passionate teacher with a lot of experience, who believes that every student is unique, and therefore, teaching methods should be matched with student’s needs and personality.
